Best bookstore in the world. 3 stories of floor to ceiling books. Huge selection and friendly staff. A book lovers dream.
Great place for used and old books dating as far back as the 1800s. Found some good reads for my fiancé and I .
Man, I really like this store, and I'd like to say lots nice, clever stuff about it, and there's an awful lot of nice clever stuff to say, but my response to this place was coming from my twelve-year-old self in a house made of books, awestruck at the organization and use of space and materials.
A great wonderful welcoming place. A huge selection of incredible books, all different types, and well priced. Some are very valuable, rare books, and some more every day reading books that one can enjoy. The owner is amazing, knows his. stuff and loves helping
Magical place. Always spend hours here and feel like no time has passed. Explore every corner!
if magic is real, there’s definitely a portal to another world somewhere in daedalus.
wandering through the shelves is like a delightful labryinth, with sections covering every genre. the books are decently priced, too—perfect to find something for a used book as a gift or to add to your own collection. i got three on my latest visit.
i would note this store could not be any less accessible. the stairs and close shelves are not ideal if you need space to get around.
Three stories of books- what’s not to like? All used but good prices even for hardbacks. Bought a whole stack when we stopped in during a weekend trip to Charlottesville. Be warned, not wheelchair accessible. Also the stairways up and down are very steep.
This place is straight out of Potter's Diagon Alley. Books from floor to ceiling in every room, which is many. Also, it's a three story establishment. The staff seem to know where everything is somehow. Worth a visit if your in C'ville.
